Managing Conflict
Because not all workplace conflicts can be avoided, we have put together a team of consultants that includes attorneys, human resource professionals, and professional investigators, which provides our clients with both legal knowledge and practical experience. We offer the following services:
Workplace Investigations - We offer prompt, thorough investigations into claims of discrimination and harassment, workplace violence, and employee misconduct. Why hire us to conduct your investigations? Because . . .
- We are neutral. Using an outside investigator gives the investigation more credibility. We do not know the parties involved. Also, we do not benefit from giving the employer anything less than a completely thorough examination of the situation.
- We are experts. Many human resource professionals who are called to conduct an internal investigation have had little to no experience in handling such matters. Our investigators are highly trained professionals with years of experience in conducting workplace investigations.
- We are available to testify about our investigation, if needed. If your attorney conducts the investigation, they may be conflicted out of representing you on the same matter, should it go to trial. If you use someone with little to no experience in investigations, talented plaintiffs attorneys may be able to poke holes in the investigation, leaving the employer open to liability.
- We are skilled at informal resolution. In addition to having certified mediators on staff, all of our investigators are trained in informal resolution.
- We can make recommendations as to appropriate corrective action, if necessary. Our human resource experts will review the investigation and make recommendations as to any corrective action, upon request.

Preventing Conflict
At Resolution Services, we believe strongly in helping employers prevent conflict from occurring in the first place. We cant guarantee an employer will never get sued, but we are experienced in helping employers create an optimal working environment. Supervisor and management training and effective policies and procedures are the two best ways to prevent lost work time and money due to costly employee lawsuits. We offer the following prevention services:
Human Resources Consulting - We offer review/preparation of all human resource policies and procedures including non-compete agreements, confidentiality agreements, computer use policy, sexual harassment prevention policy, dress code, and more. We also offer review/preparation of employee handbooks. Our consultants are committed to keeping abreast of all legal requirements and continuously stay up to date on the ever changing laws and regulations that apply to employers.
Training - We offer training on topics such as managing and supervising employees for all levels of management from the top executives to the first line supervisor; discrimination and harassment prevention training; EEO Law training; diversity training; conducting performance evaluations training; and communication skills for supervisors. We also are available to train your staff on conducting workplace investigations.
